HISTORY
The Era Of Craftsmanship First Generation1922:
Our two forefathers joined hands and initiated to make Sword and Draggers for Royal Army. They were very skilled in Forging, filling and masters in Polishing and sharpening.
1928:
after the first World War, they started to manufacture SCALPEL and SCISSORS and did the job up to the complete satisfaction. The dean of Mission Hospital Sialkot, encouraged to add some more Surgical Instruments in their production range.
1930:
During early 1928, the other sons joined hands with their fathers and become a good team with enthusiasm. They worked hard and add some Haemostatic Artery Forceps, increasingly supply of the surgical instruments to other hospitals in the territory as well.
1938:
During the second world war, they got a boost to include a substantial range of instruments to feed the supply to Royal Army.

Third Generation:
1960:
Mr.M. Rafique joined with his father and successfully expanded the export market to South Africa and England.
1961:
Mr.M.Rafique became the Chairman of the company and made extensive tours to Europe and established personal contacts with the buyers and enhanced sales volume and set-up the new avenues for export.
1978:
Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Rafique elder son of the chairman joined the company as Partner.
1980:
Mr. Shahid Rafique younger son of the chairman joined the company as Partner.
1985:
the younger sons Mr. Zahid Rafique, induced as new Directors and company formulated as a private limited company, hence became as TOWNE BROTHERS (PVT) LTD.
1994:
TOWNE was the first Pakistani Company to comply with the requirements of cGMP of FDA's at Sialkot.
1996:
TOWNE was the pioneer in achieving the certification of ISO-9002 as a manufacturer and exporter of Surgical & Dental instruments in Pakistan. TOWNE also attained CE marking, which provides that the products manufactured are complying with EU directives.
2000:
TOWNE up-graded the international standards and obtained the following certifications:
